Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Last Updated: March 26, 2026
PeerLLM is operated by BestBytes AI, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the PeerLLM website, platform, host portal, decentralized AI network, and related services.
PeerLLM is designed with privacy in mind. Requests are screened for safety, processed through an anonymization layer, and distributed across the network in a way intended to reduce unnecessary exposure of user data.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect:
- Email address
- Username or display name
- Password in hashed or encrypted form
- Profile information you choose to provide
1.2 Operational and Usage Metadata
To operate the network, we may collect limited operational metadata, including:
- Request identifiers
- Token counts sent and received
- Host identifiers
- Timestamps and service activity dates
- Basic device, browser, or system information necessary for security and compatibility
- IP address and network-level information for security, fraud prevention, and service delivery
1.3 Prompt and Response Content
PeerLLM does not store prompt content, AI-generated responses, or conversation history at the platform or orchestrator level.
Prompts are processed in real time, screened for policy compliance, and passed through an anonymization layer before they are routed through the network.
1.4 Host Information
If you participate as a Host, we may collect:
- Host account and registration details
- Hardware specifications and declared capabilities
- Model availability and runtime configuration information
- Uptime, latency, performance, and reliability metrics
- Safety and quality inspection results
- Payout-related information necessary to process compensation
2. How We Use Information
We use information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure PeerLLM
- Authenticate users and Hosts
- Route requests across the network
- Measure token usage and network performance
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, policy violations, and security incidents
- Evaluate host reliability, safety, speed, and service quality
- Process purchases, subscriptions, and payouts
- Communicate with you about updates, support, and important service notices
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
3. Distributed Processing, Anonymization, and Hosts
3.1 Safety Screening
Requests submitted to PeerLLM may be screened for illegal, abusive, violent, malicious, or otherwise prohibited content before they are processed by the network.
3.2 Anonymization
Requests that pass screening are processed through an anonymization layer designed to remove or reduce sensitive personal information before routing.
While PeerLLM applies anonymization techniques, no anonymization method is guaranteed to remove all identifying information in every case.
3.3 Distributed Processing
PeerLLM may divide and distribute requests across multiple Hosts. In many cases, no single Host receives the full original context of a request. Hosts are intended to receive only limited, task-specific, anonymized data necessary to perform processing.
3.4 Important Transparency Notice
Although PeerLLM is designed to reduce exposure of user data, Hosts operate on third-party machines. Technically sophisticated Host operators may be able to inspect the anonymized task data processed by their own systems. For this reason, users should avoid submitting highly sensitive, regulated, or confidential information unless they are comfortable with the risks inherent in distributed computing.
3.5 Host Restrictions
Hosts are required by agreement not to store, retain, reconstruct, inspect beyond processing needs, or misuse request data. Violation of these obligations may result in suspension, removal from the network, forfeiture of payouts, and other action as permitted by law and contract.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
4.1 With Hosts
PeerLLM shares limited, anonymized, task-specific request data with Hosts for the sole purpose of generating and returning outputs through the network.
4.2 Service Providers
We may share information with third-party service providers that help us operate PeerLLM, such as:
- Payment processors
- Cloud infrastructure providers
- Email and communications providers
- Analytics, monitoring, and security vendors
These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services.
4.3 Legal and Protective Disclosures
We may disclose information when we believe it is necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or lawful government request
- Enforce our Terms, agreements, and policies
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, or security issues
- Protect the rights, safety, property, or integrity of PeerLLM, our users, Hosts, or others
5. Data Retention
PeerLLM retains only the information reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain security, process transactions, support Hosts, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Prompt content, response content, and conversation history are not retained by the platform as part of normal operation. Operational metadata, account records, host performance data, subscription records, and payout records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for legitimate business and legal purposes.
6. Payments and Financial Information
Payments for subscriptions, token purchases, and Host payouts may be processed through third-party payment providers. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers, and PeerLLM does not store full payment credentials.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted communications, access controls, and operational monitoring. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. All communication between PeerLLM services and Hosts is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols.
8. International Processing
PeerLLM operates as a distributed network and may involve Hosts, infrastructure, and service providers located in different countries. By using PeerLLM, you understand that information may be processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal and operational limits
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request portability of certain information where applicable
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
10. Children's Privacy
PeerLLM is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the website, platform, or by email. Your continued use of PeerLLM after the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
